Good day Members of the Seven Seas Club,

Our next Movie night is on Wednesday 21 November, start time 1830.

The movie selected is The Bridges at Toko-Ri,  a  classic 1954 American war film about the Korean War  starring William Holden, Grace Kelly, Fredric March, Mickey Rooney, and Robert Strauss.

The screenplay is based on the novel The Bridges at Toko-Ri by Pulitzer Prize winner James Michener.

The story is about U.S. Navy pilots assigned to bomb a group of heavily defended bridges in North Korea.

The main characters of the film were based on real people, and the central mission was inspired by real attacks on bridges.

It centres on the lives of naval bomber pilots serving aboard an aircraft carrier.  Run time is 103 minutes.

Light snacks will be available at intermission.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
